Steven
Jacobs applied a twist of fiction to a factual event & voila, a great
premise: The British sabotaged the
Hindenburg to prevent an even worse disaster.
There were bloopers & typos galore which, I think, did not interfere
with plot comprehension. Most of the separately
named characters’ personalities blended together. They spoke contractionless, wooden dialogue
& behaved irrationally throughout. However,
the real threat aboard the Brazilian Queen, the mysterious Uber-assassin
Orion, & surrounding intrigue ultimately proved memorable. This would’ve made a big splash for any television
network during the heyday of spy movies.
